10 Packing Tips for Traveling Abroad

10 Packing Travel Tips for Traveling Abroad

Plan Ahead – Take some time out a few days before your trip to plan out what kind of activities you will be doing. This way you will know exactly what to pack for.

Versatile items – Bring clothes and shoes that are comfortable and can easily transition from a day look to a night look with the addition of a few accessories.

Travel Size EVERYTHING – Make sure your face, hair, and body products are in travel size containers to help minimize the weight of your bag as well as the possibility of a big spill.

Must Have Products –  Bring products that have multiple uses for example; a face cream that serves as a moisturizer, as well as an SPF and overnight cream. Multi-use is essential when you travel. The same rule applies to hair, body and make up products.

Carry On – Your carry-on bag should be a mini version of your luggage. In case of emergency, you should have a change of clothes and hygiene products to freshen up.

Shoes – Bring either two or three pairs of shoes. Shoes tend to way down your bag. It is nice to be able to switch it up, but you won’t need a new pair for shoes everyday.

Compartmentalize – Organize all travel papers (i.e. passport, plane tickets, hotel information) in one place. Also do this with all of your electronics, beauty products, and jewelry.  You want your bag to be organized and easy to navigate.

Adapter – Purchase an international adapter that will allow you to plug multiple devices into one outlet .

Money – Do not bring all of your credit cards on your trip. Withdraw enough money before you travel to avoid exchange rates and conversion fees from your bank.  When traveling around a city, bring enough money for that day and leave the rest of your money and other important personal items in the safe at the hotel.

Leave room in your bag –  Traveling will compel you to buy things to bring back home. Leave enough room in your bag for your international finds.
