Bon Voyage

I have begun my journey to Africa! I could not be more honored or excited to be embarking upon this journey. I am headed to Togo, Africa to partner with the LYSD organization to help promote and develop basketball programs for the youth. This trip will also mark the start of Soles 4 Your Soul, a non-profit organization that collects new and used shoes and supplies them to adults and children in need. With donations from friends and family, I have been able to pack four suitcases full of shoes. I cannot wait to distribute these shoes to the people of Togo. Being able to combine my passions for coaching and giving back in a single project is dream come true. I cannot wait to keep you all posted on my African journey. 

My journey from Los Angeles to Togo is a long one. First I am flying from Los Angeles to Detroit where I have a 12 hour layover ( -_- ), then to Paris where I will have a 6 hour layover. I am going to attempt to do some sightseeing during my short time in Paris. Hopefully I will be able to marvel at some things and take some great pictures to share. I will document in detail my 6 hour layover in Paris. Finally from Paris I will fly directly into Lome. I have brought my father along with me on this journey and it is truly a blessing to see the world with him by my side. I can't wait to keep you all posted.
