Puerto Vallarta was an absolute blast!!! It was the definition of a girls trip. I went with an amazing group of girls that kept me laughing and enjoying each moment of the trip. We were greeted with amazing weather and the city was beautiful. We flew direct from LAX to PVR on Delta, it was a quick easy flight and the plane was roomy. If you are thinking you need a mini vacation I definitely recommend heading down to Puerto Vallarta to get away. 

The Details 

• Hotel: We stayed at the massive & gorgeous The Grand Bliss Hotel Nuevo Vallarta . The can't stress the word massive enough. You will be able to find any and everything you need in the resort. There are 3 pools, 2 fitness centers, tons of restaurants serving all types of cuisine. We traveled during the low of the travel season so it almost felt like we had the resort to ourselves. 
  • The grounds were absolutely beautiful. My favorite part about the resort was the lush pathways
  • The fitness center was amazing and I even took a cycling class  
• Food: Taco Break, located at the hotel was hands down the best authentic Mexican food we had during our stay. We also went to the Malecon broadwalk and enjoyed at beach front view during our dinner at Oscar's. Some of the girls loved oysters and had fresh oysters right out of the water in Malecon. I am not a fan so I did not try them. 
• Adventure: You must ride the ATVS , go jump in the river, and go tequila tasting. This was the absolute best part of our trip. All of us girls went and rode razors through the Puerto Vallarta mountains and we also explored the clubs in Malecon but the best place by far was La Bodeguita Del Medio, a cuban salsa restaurant, with live music and salsa dancing. I fell in love with my dance partner who guided me through the dance. 
• Money: I recommend exchanging money before you go and bringing extra cash to exchange in Mexico to avoid international credit card transaction fees. 
• Tips: Bring lots of sunscreen. It is incredibly humid in there so you will probably need to bring a few changes of clothing. Do not be alarmed when you see police with very large guns. Be smart & cautious  

I had an amazing trip and I'm sure I have left some things out in this post but these were my most memorable moments of the trip. The tequila wasn't bad either. If you don't have a major budget but you need a gateway I highly recommend heading down to Mexico for a weekend. We kept it pretty low budget by staying by the pool and only doing one activity but there are tons of things to do there like snorkeling, a tour to Marieta Island, and more. My first trip to Mexico was a amazing I can't wait to go back!
