Obession: Facial Mask

I am currently obsessed with beauty facial masks. I even have a mask on as I'm writing this article. Since arriving in China, I have been seeing these mask everywhere, from 7-eleven to Sephora. Asian women have been using facial mask as regular part of their skin care routine for flawless skin, while women in North America are just now catching on to the trend. Here's the 4/11 on beauty facial mask.

What is a Beauty Facial Mask?

A beauty facial mask is made of a thin cotton sheet, cut to fit the shape of a face, which is then soaked in different skin nutrients and ingredients. Each mask provides different benefits for your skin. Facial mask should be applied to freshly washed skin, preferably at night time, and left on for 10-15 minutes. Take the mask off and pat off the excess serum. Do not rinse your face, just rub to excess serum into your skin, then go to sleep. If there is extra serum in the package, use it the next morning as a moisturizer.

Types of Facial Mask:

There are hundreds of different facial masks on the market, but I recently tried a mask from Innisfree. Innisfree is Korean skincare brand based out of the island Jeju. Innisfree focuses on providing eco-friendly products that are great for your skin. I tried the Honey "it's real squeeze" mask and it left my skin feeling ultra-moisturized. Innisfree offers four different mask collections; skin clinic mask, second skin mask, it's real squeeze mask, and hydro-gel mask. Each collection offers different skin care benefits. For example, the skin clinic collection offers a more serious skin care line, including a collagen mask and a peptide mask.  The "it's real squeeze mask: offers rose, honey, kiwi, and other fruits with skin benefits which are combined with the a green tea ingredients from the island Jeju. I can't wait to explore the world of facial mask and incorporate them into my skincare routine. Hop on it ladies, Asian woman have been doing it for years now. We're behind!
